Myrtle Beach Fall Rally - September 26 thru October 5
Once again the annual Myrtle Beach Fall Rally is coming to the Grand Strand. Events for this year's rally include poker runs, a scavenger hunt, live music, free bikini washes, wet t-shirt contests, vendors and much, much more! Activities will be taking place all along the Grand Strand, so come on down and enjoy the fun!

National Sculpture Society 81st Annual Awards Exhibition - August 16 thru November 2
For the 14th consecutive year, the National Sculpture Society presents their annual juried exhibition at Brookgreen Gardens. The 81st Annual Awards Exhibition displays figurative works from 48 contemporary sculptors. The exhibition features a wide variety of subject matter and media including busts of Charles Dickens & Amelia Earhart as well as a myriad of animal and human figurines. The exhibit will be on view daily 9:30 am until 5 pm and is free with garden admission. Don't forget to cast your vote for the People's Choice Award. The winner will be announced at the end of the exhibition.

Tales for Tots - September 2 thru December 16
Enjoy story time and fun-filled activities at the Children's Museum of South Carolina on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 am. Designed for kids from 1 to 4 years old. The Children's Museum of South Carolina is located at 2204 N Oak Street, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.

Wine Wednesday - October 1
Grab a lawn chair, get your friends together and head over to La Belle Amie Vineyard for a fun-filled afternoon of live music (from 1 pm until 5 pm) with Ed Torres. Apache Pier Activities - October 1-31
During October, you'll find a myriad of events and activities taking place at the Apache Pier including Wine & Cheese Nights, Crafts, Kangaroo Rummy, Uno, Dominos and Sunday morning worship services. Popular events include the Apache King Mackerel Tournament on the 11th from 6 am until 7 pm as well as the Apache Pig Pickin' (11 am) and Take A Kid Fishing Day on the 18th. Magician Michael Barefoot - October 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26 & 29
Appearing at the Landmark Resort at 8 pm, Michael Barefoot is an award-winning Illusionist who will astound and amaze with an exciting magic and comedy act. The Landmark Resort Hotel is located at 1501 S Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. For $5 per person, you can purchase tickets in advance at the front desk or at the door (if available). Myrtle Beach State Park Events - October 2-30
In October, you'll find several nature events taking place in Myrtle Beach State Park. On the 4th, 11th & 25th, at 10 am you can use real laboratory instruments and field equipment during "Be a Pier Scientist" or at 2 pm you can watch a snake eat a mouse and more during Feeding Time. On Tuesdays at 2 pm, you can learn to identify potential dangers and how to avoid them with Nature's Nasties. On Thursdays at 2 pm, you can explore the world of alligators, snakes, turtles and lizards during Reptile Rap.

Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art - October 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12
During October, the Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art will bring a myriad of events to The Reserve Golf Club of Pawleys Island. At the Pawleys Island Wine Gala you can sample wines from approximately 70 different wineries, taste some delicious desserts and enjoy live entertainment. During the Wine Gala, you can join the Collector's Circle and get the opportunity to taste some select, limited production wines. Boardwalk Fright Nights - October 3-5, 10-12, 17-19, 24-27, 30-31 & November 1
Beginning on October 3rd, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk transforms into a fun-filled, freaky neighborhood on Friday & Saturday nights. Take a tour through haunted attractions, but keep an eye out for zombies as you stroll along the Boardwalk! You'll also find amazing, off-season discounts at Boardwalk shops & restaurants.

11th Annual Seacoast Artist Guild Fall Art Show - October 3-19
The Seacoast Artists Guild presents the 11th Annual Fall Art Show and Sale at the Seacoast Artists Gallery from October 3rd through the 19th. A variety of artwork will on display including oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel and mixed media paintings plus sculptures, photography and fiber art. Displayed artwork will be available for sale to the public. The show will be judged by Coastal Carolina University Professor Maura Kenny. Event hours are noon until 8 pm Monday through Saturday and noon until 6 pm on Sunday. An awards reception will be held from 6 pm until 8 pm on the 4th. The Seacoast Artists Gallery is located in The Market Common at 3032 Nevers St.

7th Annual Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest - October 3-4
Oktoberfest in Valor Park at The Market Common brings October fun to Myrtle Beach. The event features amazing, live German music, a huge selection of Oktoberfest and pumpkin beers, great German food and activities for the kids including inflatables & face painting. La Belle Amie Autumn Big Band Blast - October 4
Grab a lawn chair, get your friends together and head over to La Belle Amie Vineyard for a fun-filled afternoon of live big band music (from noon until 5 pm) with The Andrew Thielen Band and Ed Torres. Sample La Belle Amie wines, take a vineyard tour and enjoy delicious food from Smokin' Pitt BBQ and The Vineyard Grill. Admission is only $10 per person. The 4th Annual Grand Strand Mustang Stampede and Classic Ford Car Show - October 4
Coming to Broadway at the Beach at 1325 Celebrity Circle in Myrtle Beach. the Grand Strand Mustang Stampede and Classic Ford Car Show features 100's of cars, vendors, food and music. Event hours are from 9 am until 4 pm.

Kirk Franklin's Gospel Brunch - October 5, 12, 19 & 26
The House of Blues hosts Kirk Franklin's Gospel Brunch on Sunday mornings. The show features live performances of traditional and contemporary gospel songs selected by Kirk Franklin. Indulge in an amazing buffet with carving stations, Southern delicacies, chicken and waffles, omelettes and more breakfast favorites. Continuous seating is available from 9 am until 2 pm. F-Body Beach Bash 2014 - October 9-11
Camaro and Trans Am enthusiasts will not want to miss the F-Body Beach Bash. The 3-day event features a meet & greet on Thursday night at Hooters (10133 N Kings Hwy in Myrtle Beach), a fun-filled track day at the Myrtle Beach Speedway (Friday) with drag racing, autocross and track laps plus an F-Body car show and Ocean Boulevard cruise on Saturday. Movies at McLean - October 10
Grab your beach chair or blanket and head over to McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach to enjoy a free movie under the stars. Movies are scheduled to begin 15 minutes after sunset. Thanks for the Memories - October 10-11
Thanks for the Memories is a special event on Surfside Drive to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Town of Surfside Beach, South Carolina. The celebration takes place at dusk on Friday and from noon until 6 pm on Saturday. Enjoy great blues and jazz, an oyster roast & BBQ, a Friday night drive-in movie and a car show on Saturday. Art in the Park 2014 - October 11-12
The Waccamaw Arts & Crafts Guild holds six Art in the Park shows throughout the year in Chapin Park and Valor Park to give artists an opportunity to display and sell their work. On October 11th and 12th from 10 am until 4 pm, Art in the Park will bring a myriad of exhibitors including talented artists from around the country to Chapin Park in downtown Myrtle Beach. Exhibitors will be displaying paintings, photography, jewelry, sculptures, stained glass, pottery, quilts, baskets, yard art, furniture, sun catchers, flowers, wreaths, hand painted glass, stoneware, ceramics and much more. Oktoberfest on the Boardwalk - October 11
The Oktoberfest celebration on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk features 3 blocks of fun-filled entertainment with free concerts (6 bands performing live), authentic German cuisine, a German car show, a beer garden, sidewalk sales and much more. Sons Of Italy Festa Italiana - October 11-12
On Columbus Day weekend, head over to Broadway at the Beach for the Sons of Italy's Festa Italiana. The annual event features delicious, authentic Italian cuisine and continous entertainment with Bobby Valli, Gene Santini, Larry Tanelli & Claudette, Carl & Karen Hasara and Dale Mosher. Other festival events and activities include a pasta eating contest, free face painting for the kids and a display of Ferrari and Maserati cars. Festival hours are 11 am until 8 pm on Saturday and noon until 7 pm on Sunday.

Volley America SE Regionals - October 11-12
The Volley America SE Regionals brings the best volleyball players from across the Southeast to the Grand Strand for an exciting 2-day tournament. Players will compete in several divisions including Men's Open, Men's AA, Men's A, Men's B, Women's Open, Women's AA, Women's A, Women's B, Coed's AA, Coed's A and Coed's B. Play begins at 9 am on Saturday and 10 am on Sunday. Men and Women's divisions play on Saturday, while coed divsions play on Sunday. The event is free to spectators.

Out Of The Darkness Community Walk - October 11
The 4th Annual Myrtle Beach Out of the Darkness Community Walk will be held at Broadway at the Beach. Come out and support the SC Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Registration opens at 9 am and the walk kicks off at 10 am.

North Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest - October 12
The Inaugural North Myrtle Beach Oktoberfest will be rockin' with free, live music. All the action takes place at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex. Come enjoy live concerts plus authentic German food and drinks. Take the kids over to the Kids Zone (alcohol free) where they will find inflatables, face painters and more. 15th Annual Surfrider Lip-Rippin' Chilympics Chili Cook-off - October 12
A Grand Strand tradition since 2000, the Lip-Rippin' Chilympics Chili Cook-Off (at the Hot Fish Club, King Street Grille, and Morse Park) is free and open to the public. Beginning at noon chili samples will be available for purchase from more than 40 self-proclaimed Chilimasters competing in categories that include Best Overall, People's Choice, Most Original, Best Use of South Carolina Ingredients and Hottest Chili. 1st place winners in each category will receive cash prizes. In addition to great food, the event features live music and a kids' area with inflatables, face painting and food. Scheduled performers include IAMDYNAMITE, Sideways Derby, Strike-O-Matics, The Deluge, My Goodness, The IZM, Faux Show, Folkem Duo, Ras Bonghi All Stars and October Chorus. Proceeds benefit the Grand Strand Surfrider Foundation.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - October 16 thru November 9
Head over to the Atlantic Stage this fall to catch a live performance of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Jeffrey Hatcher's adaptation potrays a complex, dark version of the classic. Gaither Fest 2014 - October 17-18
Gaither Fest 2014 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center is a 2-day, 3 concert event featuring a huge line-up of inspirational guest speakers and artists. Performing artists include the Gaither Vocal Band (Bill Gaither, David Phelps, Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb and Todd Suttles), The Collingsworth Family, The Isaacs, The Martins, Russ Taff, Kevin Williams, Buddy Greene, Charlotte Ritchie, Gene McDonald, Angie Primm, The Easters, The Nelons, Matthew Holt, Allison Speer, Lynda Randle, Greg Ritchie and guest speaker Nicole Johnson. Archery For Kids Day - October 18
The Sandune Archery Club presents Archery For Kids Day, a fun-filled event for kids ages 8 to 19 as well as NASP Archers of any age. The event takes place from 11 am until 3 pm at the Sandune Archery Club inside the Socastee Recreation Park. Discover how much fun archery can be as you learn to shoot a Genesis compound bow and then participate in a 3D archery shoot and a paper target archery shoot. 2014 Waccamaw Area Heart Walk - October 18
The 2014 Waccamaw Heart Walk is fund-raising event for the American Heart Association. The Heart Walk will be held at Broadway at the Beach. Registration opens at 9 am and the walk begins at 10 am.

Myrtle Beach Wine Fest - October 18
Head over to Valor Park in The Market Common for the 5th annual Myrtle Beach Wine Fest and Taste of The Market Common. Sample over 40 wines from around the US and the world. Samples are pay as you go and range from 1 to 4 tickets. You can purchase tickets at the gate. The event also features live music and food sampling from The Market Common restaurants.

Coastal 5K & Doggie Dash - October 18
If you're new to running or you'd like to get ready for the Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon on the 19th, the Coastal 5K is the race for you. The Coastal 5K starts at 7:30 am and runners compete on a flat course that begins and ends at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes located at 1499 Grande Dunes Boulevard. After the race enjoy some post race snacks and hang around to watch the Doggie Dash, an event to support the Grand Strand Humane Society. Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon - October 19
An exciting race along an oceanfront course, the Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon attracts runners from around the world. A surfing themed event, the Myrtle Beach Marathon offers over 5 miles of oceanfront running, Surfboard Finisher Medals, live Surf Bands and a post race beach party & live concert in Plyler Park. Volition Fashion Design & Artist Showcase - October 19
The Volition Fashion Design & Artist Showcase brings fashion to the Hard Rock Cafe at Broadway at the Beach. The showcase features more than 50 models wearing a variety of high fashion including Japanese Street, Avant Garde, Eco-friendly, Gothic Couture, Steampunk and more. Intermission will feature a live performance by Doctrine of Ethos and a showcase of dance moves by local dance experts. Doors open at 12:30 pm for VIP and at 1 pm for the general public. The show starts at 2 pm.

Taste of the Town - October 21
Coming to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, Taste of the Town is the quintessential culinary event along the Grand Strand. Come savor the flavors from a myriad of area restaurants as they offer samples of specialty menu items. Area chefs showcase their talents as they compete for awards in several categories including Best Entree, Best Dessert, People's Choice and more. Share the Music Tour - October 21
The 2014 Share the Music Outreach Tour features students from the SC Governor's School for the Arts & Humanities performing music from their fall tour. The show offers a variety of musical offerings including the Concertato String Orchestra, the Cantus Chamber Choir, the Piano Ensembles and the Wind Ensembles. The free concert, at the Myrtle Beach High School Music and Arts Center, is a way for the SC Governor's School for the Arts & Humanities to give back to the community for their continued support. The concert begins at 7:30 pm.

Zookeeper For a Day - October 21
Get a look at what it's like to be a zookeeper! Visit Brookgreen Gardens' Lowcountry Zoo to interact with the animals plus help with diet preparation, feeding and animal care. The Zookeeper For a Day program runs from 8:30 am until 2 pm. The cost is $150 per person.

Terror Under the Bridge - October 24 thru November 1
Terror Under the Bridge is chilling, scary, haunted attraction. If you're only going to visit one haunted attraction this year, Terror Under the Bridge is the one you must see! The attraction will be open at the X Sports Gym from 7 pm until 11 pm nightly from October 24th through November 1st. X Sports Gym is located at 568 George Bishop Pkwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. Tickets are $10 per person.

Haunted Halloween - October 24-25
For a fun-filled, Halloween celebration for the entire family, head down to Huntington Beach State Park for Haunted Halloween. The event features 2 separate haunted house attractions, a bonfire, carnival games, storytelling, kids' crafts, spooky cartoons, s'mores and more. Festivities take place at Atalaya castle on the Friday and Saturday night before Halloween from 6 pm until 9:30 pm. Adult admission is $10, kids tickets (age 6-15) is $7 and kids 5 and under are admitted free.

Fireworks In Myrtle Beach - October 25 & 31
Visit the Broadway at the Beach entertainment complex to enjoy a fireworks extravaganza. The shows feature some of the best fireworks along the Grand Strand with amazing professional pyrotechnics displays over Lake Broadway. Shows are scheduled for 10 pm every on the 25th and 31st.

Howl - O - Scream - October 25
On the Saturday before Halloween, the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex transforms into a spooktacular site filled with family-friendly fun. Howl - O - Scream actvities include hayrides, trick-or-treating, pumpkin painting, marshmallow roasting and more. Got small kids that my be scared? No problem. Scare free and Scare Zones are available. The event is free for all! The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex is located at 150 Citizens Circle, Little River, SC 29566.
