Boathouse Free Summer Concert Series - April 6 thru August 31
Once again, the popular Boathouse Summer Concert Series brings FREE live concerts to the Grand Strand on Sunday Fundays. Military Appreciation Days
Military Appreciation Days - May 1-31
During May, Myrtle Beach will be hosting a month long celebration to honor the men and women of our nation's military. The Military Appreciation Days celebration will feature great music with the Andrew Thielen Big Band, a 5K Run, Memorial Day Parade, family picnic (free for current military personnel, veterans and their families), a beard and moustache contest, discounts at area restaurants and attractions, kids' activities and a Memorial Day Ceremony. Surfside Beach Founders Day Weekend - May 2-4
A special 50th Anniversary Event, the Surfside Beach Founders Day Weekend starts on Friday with live beach music from Sea Cruz. On Saturday, the fun continues in the Surfside Beach Pier parking lot with carnival games, a carousel, magician, carnival food, a fireworks show & more. Taste of the Coast - May 3
An annual celebration with fantastic food, drinks, and fun, the Taste of the Coast features delicious food from area restaurants, live entertainment and much more. Taste of the Coast 2014 will take place at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex. The celebration gets under way at 11 am and features non-stop excitement until 4 pm. Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally - May 9-18
The Harleys and choppers will soon begin pouring onto the Grand Strand for the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally, an annual Myrtle Beach tradition. Local businesses, vendors and biker-friendly resorts are getting ready for this year's rally and so are motorcycle enthusiasts from around the country. There will be a myriad of Bike Week Events and activities taking place during Bike Week including bike shows, parties, live music, poker runs, exhibits, contests, great food and much more.

Throttle Fest 2014 - May 9-17
The House of Blues Myrtle Beach will partner with the Full Throttle Saloon to present Throttle Fest 2014 from May 9th through May 17th. The Bike Week event will feature live music daily on the deck. There will also be appearances by cast members from the hit show Full Throttle Saloon plus Danny "The Count" from Counting Cars will be stopping by. Movies in the Park - May 9

Mayfest on Main Festival - May 10
Main Street in North Myrtle Beach comes to life on May 10th when the Mayfest on Main Festival kicks off at 10 am. The Mayfest on Main Festival features live music, arts & crafts vendors, food, street entertainers and a children's area. Bring your chair, kick back and enjoy performances by Blue Monday, Ross Coppley Band & The Surf City Allstars on the Main Stage at the "horseshoe". 4th Annual Back to Summer Car & Truck Show - May 10

Vietnam Memorial Wall - May 14-18
The Wall That Heals, the traveling replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, DC, returns to Myrtle Beach for five days as part of Military Appreciation Days. The wall, on display at Grand Park, will be accessible 24 hours a day.

Sandune Archery Club 30-Target3D Tournament - May 17-18
Sandune Archery Club's 30-Target3D Tournament is an exciting competition with three dimensional targets (deer, bear, turkey, etc.). Targets are sectioned off into areas with different point values. Participants are divided up and compete in categories depending on their age and skill level as well as the style of bow and extra equipment variations used. Every year Firefighters from all around the country along with their friends and family travel to Myrtle Beach for this Memorial tournament. Veterans Golf Classic - May 18-21
Veterans and active military are invited to play in this yearly tournament. Scheduled to begin May 18th, this unique tournament teams groups of two, based on team handicaps against each other in this friendly game. At least one member of each team must be an active or veteran military service member. Single players are welcome and will be paired prior to the event. Black Bike Week 2014 - May 23-26
Since it's beginning in 1980, Black Bike Week has grown from a small event held annually in the town of Atlantic Beach into a huge festival that encompasses most of the Grand Strand from Myrtle Beach to North Myrtle Beach. Dirty Myrtle Mud Run - May 24
For an exciting day in the mud, head over to the Dirty Myrtle Mud Run at Waterbridge in the Carolina Forest community. The adult Mud Run Course is approximately 3 miles and features a myriad of obstacles including a pond, ditch crawl, hills, crawl thru tubes, log/tire run, crawl under, tire trot, hay mountain and the mud pit finish. National Retired Military Golf Classic - May 27-31
The 31st Annual National Retired Military Golf Classic will be held this year from May 28th thru May 31st. This years tournament will be played on four of the best golf courses found along the Grand Strand.
